Santa Cruz do Sul hosts 41st Oktoberfest celebrations

The 41st Oktoberfest in Santa Cruz do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, features a diverse program including the 'Dia da Maturidade Ativa' and the final themed parade. The event, organized in partnership with Sesc, celebrates active aging and includes a festive walk starting from the São João Batista Cathedral to the Oktoberfest Park.

To promote accessibility, visitors aged 55 and older receive free admission throughout the day, and general park entry is free until 12:59 PM. The festival's programming includes various musical performances, traditional dances, and Germanic cultural activities. The themed parades, which feature floats and folklore groups, serve to bring the festival's identity into the city streets along Marechal Floriano Street.

The 2026 edition is organized into three distinct periods: October 8–12, October 15–18, and October 21–25. The festivities include national shows, gastronomy, and workshops, attracting participants from dozens of cities across the state.
