Santa Cruz educational programs boost technical and field learning

Educational initiatives are being implemented in Santa Cruz, Argentina, to strengthen technical training and field-based learning through the Provincial Council of Education.

In El Calafate, the Escuela Industrial N° 9 participated in the ‘Transformar la Educación Secundaria’ program, an initiative supported by the Provincial Council of Education and the Fundación Banco Santa Cruz. The program focuses on reviewing Institutional Educational Projects (PEI) to better align pedagogical goals with student needs and institutional identity.

In Caleta Olivia, students from Escuela Industrial N° 1 Gral. Enrique Mosconi engaged in a field research project titled ‘Conociendo nuestra tierra, cuidamos el futuro’. This pedagogical outing focused on exploring the Steppe Circuit to study local biodiversity, soil, and water, aiming to foster environmental stewardship and a direct connection to the Patagonian territory.
