Santa Cruz implements various vocational training and educational initiatives

The government of Santa Cruz, Argentina, is launching several programs focused on vocational training and educational development. In Río Gallegos, the Provincial Education Council (CPE) has initiated a heating equipment installation course through the Centro Educativo de Formación y Actualización Profesional N° 1. This 8-week program aims to provide technical skills for maintaining school infrastructure while creating professional opportunities.

Additionally, the CPE has signed an agreement with the Cañadón Seco Commission to facilitate professional internships for students from the Escuela Industrial Nº 1, bridging the gap between classroom theory and municipal public management. In Río Gallegos, the third edition of Expo Carreras recently concluded, providing high school students with information on academic and technical training opportunities within the province.

In Pico Truncado, the Ministry of Production, Commerce, and Industry, alongside local authorities, is launching a training cycle titled ‘La última oportunidad’. This project focuses on railway tourism, aiming to transform the historical rail line from Puerto Deseado to Las Heras into an economic and cultural driver for local communities.
