Santa Fe public‑sector unions UPCN and ATE approve provincial salary package

The Unión del Personal Civil de la Nación (UPCN) and the Asociación de Trabajadores del Estado (ATE) in Santa Fe Province voted to accept the government’s salary proposal for the second half of 2026. UPCN’s online vote registered 69 % in favor, while ATE recorded 61 % support. The agreement provides a cumulative 10.1 % wage increase from July to December, applied in monthly steps (2 % in July, 1.8 % in August, 1.7 % in September, 1.6 % in October, and 1.5 % in November and December). Minimum guaranteed amounts are also set, ranging from 80,000 pesos in July to 180,000 pesos in December, with the increments affecting the calculation of the annual bonus (aguinaldo). According to the provincial executive, these measures will allow most workers to achieve an overall 15.5 % rise for the semester, translating into an annual increase of about 36 %. The government confirmed that no employee will receive a raise below the 17.1 % inflation rate recorded in the first half of the year, and any shortfall will be compensated through a supplemental payroll in June.
