Santa Cruz launches ‘Activá Tu Huerta’ gardening program

The Provincial Agrarian Council (CAP) has introduced the ‘Activá Tu Huerta’ initiative in Río Turbio, Santa Cruz. The program aims to revitalize family food production and provide tools to residents across the province.

The initiative includes the distribution of 10,000 seed kits over two seasons, specifically 5,000 for the 2026-2027 season and 5,000 for the 2027-2028 season. Each kit contains seeds from 16 different species. Beyond providing seeds, the program offers technical assistance and training to ensure families can sustain their gardens over time and promote self-consumption.
