Santa Cruz Metropolitan Cathedral begins restoration works

Archbishop René Leigue has presided over the blessing of conservation and restoration works for the Santa Cruz Metropolitan Cathedral (Basilica Menor de San Lorenzo). The project aims to clean, restore, and beautify the cathedral's facade and exterior architecture, preserving its status as a major religious and historical symbol in Santa Cruz.

During the ceremony, Archbishop Leigue emphasized that the physical restoration of the temple serves as a symbol for the spiritual renewal of the community. The works involve a collaborative effort between architects, engineers, specialists, and laborers to maintain the heritage of the site.
