Santa Cruz police locate kidnapped farmer alive

An agriculturist was found alive in the La Angostura area of Santa Cruz, Bolivia, after being kidnapped from the Petacas community. The victim is in critical condition at the Hospital San Juan de Dios after sustaining four gunshot wounds, including one to the face.

Authorities are currently conducting intensive search operations to locate a second victim who was abducted during the same incident. Investigators are treating the case as a possible settlement of accounts related to irregular transactions, noting that a ransom of 700,000 bolivianos was demanded. Police and prosecutors have increased patrols and tactical incursions in the region to find the missing person and apprehend those responsible.
