Santa Cruz promotes regional culture through local events and artist calls

Cultural activities are expanding in the Santa Cruz province of Argentina through local community events and provincial calls for talent. In Río Gallegos, the Hugo Giménez Agüero neighborhood association held the second edition of the Vigilia por la Música Folclórica Santacruceña. The event featured live music, traditional dances, and visual arts to honor local identity and the memory of Hugo Giménez Agüero.

Simultaneously, the Casa de Santa Cruz has launched a call for artists to participate in 'La Noche de las Casas de Provincia 2026'. The initiative aims to showcase the province's diverse musical and dance talents to audiences in Buenos Aires, positioning local artists as central figures in representing the region's history and identity.
