Santa Cruz promotes sports and tourism initiatives

The province of Santa Cruz is experiencing a period of high activity across its sports and tourism sectors. In sports, Subsecretary of Sports Gonzalo Mansilla reported an intense second half of the year involving various competitions, including the 'Santa Cruz Puede' games, the Evita National Games, and the Araucanía and Para-Araucanía games. These events involve significant coordination between provincial authorities and technical teams to prepare delegations for national representation.

In the tourism sector, Santa Cruz is actively promoting its diverse destinations at the International Tourism Fair (FIT). While El Calafate remains a traditional highlight, the province is focusing on emerging destinations. Localities such as Gobernador Gregores are showcasing ecotourism management systems in Perito Moreno National Park, including public-private alliances for sustainable infrastructure like refuges and campsites. Additionally, El Chaltén is participating with its own dedicated stand for the first time to strengthen its promotional efforts.
