Santa Cruz football club vows salary payments and staff continuity as it pushes for Serie B promotion

President Bruno Rodrigues said paying all overdue salaries for the squad will be completed during the current Série C campaign and the club will also sign replacements for departing players. He emphasized his daily focus: “Eu durmo e acordo tentando resolver essa pendência financeira e quitar todos os salários e obrigações do nosso elenco dentro do campeonato.” He noted financial constraints, low attendance and that the club’s SAF structure is not yet established.

After a tense week between head coach Cristian de Souza and football director Alex Brasil, Rodrigues held a meeting and decided to keep both men in their positions. Describing the resolution as “página virada”, he expressed confidence that the unified staff will guide Santa Cruz toward promotion to Série B.
