Santa Cruz to deliver 16 synthetic grass pitches to local clubs

Governor Claudio Vidal announced that the Santa Cruz provincial government plans to deliver 16 synthetic grass pitches to various sports institutions across the province this year.

During a visit to Club Unión Santacruceña, the governor provided construction materials, including cement and a water tank, to assist with infrastructure improvements such as electrical installation and ground leveling. He also committed to sending machinery to prepare the terrain for a future football pitch. The Club Unión Santacruceña is scheduled to receive its own synthetic pitch next year to coincide with its 25th anniversary.

In the immediate term, synthetic pitches will be delivered to Club Independiente in Río Gallegos and Club Gendarme Amarilla in El Calafate within the coming days. Other planned beneficiaries of the infrastructure program include Atlético San Julián.
