Santa Elena to host Ecuador’s first official belly race

Santa Elena is set to host Ecuador’s first official “belly race” on September 20. Announced by Mayor María Aquino, the recreational event requires participants to have a minimum abdominal circumference of 120 centimeters.

The competition is scheduled to begin at 10:00 and will offer cash prizes to participants. To enter, interested individuals must register in person at the GAD of Santa Elena Communication Directorate between September 15 and September 18, from 08:00 to 17:00, where their measurements will be verified.
