Santa Fe advances housing and bridge infrastructure projects

The Santa Fe provincial government, led by Governor Maximiliano Pullaro, has reported significant progress in housing and infrastructure. In a single week, the administration inaugurated the Villa Suramericana in the Esmeralda Este II neighborhood, a complex of 346 housing units intended to house athletes for the 2026 South American Games before being distributed to local families. Additionally, 54 homes were delivered in Villa Setúbal, and 72 new homes were completed in the Acería neighborhood, alongside the granting of 29 housing credits.

Regarding major infrastructure, the new bridge connecting Santa Fe and Santo Tomé has reached 74% completion. During a recent inspection, Minister of Public Works Lisandro Enrico noted that 134 foundation piles have been executed and a significant portion of the 215 planned beams have been placed. The project utilizes specialized machinery imported from China to install beams over the Salado River. If work continues at the current pace, officials estimate the bridge could be completed by the first half of 2027, though some officials suggest an earlier completion may be possible.
