Santa Fe, Argentina investigates alleged femicide‑suicide

Police responding to reports of gunfire in the northern neighbourhood of Nuevo Horizonte, Santa Fe, entered a house at Venezuela 10400 and found two victims, Yanel Muga, 29, and Jonathan Vázquez, 32, deceased. Neighbours had heard arguments and knocking from the residence late on Saturday, and the couple's 10‑year‑old son and a 9‑year‑old cousin fled the scene after the first shot.

Investigators are treating the case as a possible femicide followed by suicide. The firearm recovered at the scene is being examined, and the Subcomisaría 18ª, the Brigade of Femicide and experts from the Criminal Investigation Agency are conducting forensic work to reconstruct the incident and determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
