Argentine basketball clubs Almagro and Comercial advance in regional tournaments

Almagro’s various age‑group teams continued their push in the Santa Fe Association and Federation competitions. The Juvenile “Blancos” secured seventh place with an 80‑73 win over Argentino S. Carlos, while the Cadetes prepared to chase third place on Thursday. The Juveniles also aimed to qualify for the Apertura semifinals on Friday, and the club’s Mini‑Liga team was set to compete in the provincial Final Four in Gálvez.

In the Segunda División, Comercial defeated Altense 61‑56 in Punta Alta to move on to the next round, where they will face Sportivo Bahiense. Franco Cardone led Comercial with 17 points, and the squad highlighted its balanced scoring and resilience after a tough third quarter.
