Santa Fe Gendarmería uncovers 58 kg of cocaine buried in Roldán home

Gendarmería Nacional raided three residences in Roldán, Santa Fe Province, and uncovered nearly 58.8 kg of cocaine hidden under the ground in the yard of a house owned by Flavio Batista’s mother. The operation was part of a wider investigation into a narcotics‑laden aircraft that landed in May with 321 kg of cocaine in the rural area of Villa Eloísa.

During the search officials also seized 16,500 USD, 335,000 Argentine pesos, 140 Brazilian reais, 48 rounds of ammunition, 20 shotgun shells, a Ford Ecosport, a precision balance, four mobile phones and other items. Initial suspicions that the network was led by alleged capo Brian “Patoruzek” Bilbao were later dismissed; investigators linked the case to the Borras brothers, who operate a smuggling-related business in the Buenos Aires ports. Two Bolivian nationals, the pilot and his companion, were detained after the aircraft was intercepted.

The seizure disrupts a significant cocaine distribution channel and highlights the authorities’ ongoing efforts against organized drug trafficking in Argentina.
