Santa Fe Governor claims province is now the safest in Argentina
During a ceremony in Venado Tuerto marking the 162nd anniversary of the Santa Fe Provincial Police, Governor Maximiliano Pullaro claimed the province has transitioned from being the most violent in Argentina to the safest.
Pullaro attributed this shift to a security strategy implemented since the start of his administration, which focused on coordinating various state powers to combat organized crime and drug trafficking. He highlighted significant improvements in Rosario, noting a reduction in homicides of over 75%. Furthermore, the Governor stated that overall crime across the province has dropped to approximately 20% of previous levels.
The event, held at Plaza San Martín, was attended by Justice and Security Minister Pablo Cococcioni, Police Chief Luis Maldonado, and other provincial and municipal authorities.
