Santa Fe Indian Market showcases Indigenous art and innovation

The 2026 Santa Fe Indian Market, organized by the Southwestern Association for Indian Arts (SWAIA), showcased a wide array of Indigenous artistry and innovation. The annual event featured over 1,000 artists representing 200 tribal nations from across North America, presenting works ranging from traditional pottery and textiles to high-end jewelry and apparel.

Alongside the main market, the Native-women-owned media company Indigenous House hosted a takeover at La Fonda on the Plaza. This event included the Indigenous Creator’s Summit and a Women’s Networking Breakfast, which featured a conversation with former Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland. The programming focused on the intersection of Indigenous culture, commerce, and content, highlighting creators in music, fashion, and digital media.
