Law enforcement agencies in Argentina and Chile announce 2027 recruitment

Several regional governments in Argentina and Chile have announced recruitment and training programs for law enforcement and security personnel for the 2027 cycle.

In Santa Fe, Argentina, the provincial government is offering 150 vacancies for a Higher Technical Degree in Criminal Investigation. The three-year program includes two years of in-person training in Rosario and a final virtual year. Successful candidates can receive monthly scholarships of $950,000 and may eventually earn approximately $2,150,000 upon joining the force.

Tierra del Fuego's Provincial Police have opened virtual pre-registrations for two paths: a three-year program for Police Assistant Officers and a nine-month program for Police Agents. In Neuquén, the Ministry of Security is conducting an open competition to fill 31 positions within the provincial directorate for Judicialized Populations, targeting professionals in social work, psychology, law, and sociology.

In Chile, the Gendarmería de Chile has opened admissions for its 2027 cycle for both officers and gendarmes. Following its recognition as a Higher Education Institution, the officer training program will expand from four to eight semesters, granting graduates a professional degree in Penitentiary Systems and Public Security.
