Santa Fe Legislature Passes Law to Secure Carreras Textile Cooperative

The Chamber of Deputies of Santa Fe approved a law, championed by provincial senator Leticia Di Gregorio, that extends the allocation of warehouses, machinery and other facilities formerly owned by PLENIT S.A. to the Cooperativa de Trabajo Textil Carreras Limitada. The measure, which had previously received partial approval in the Senate, now provides legal certainty and guarantees the continuation of a key source of employment for many families in the town of Carreras.

Municipal president Armando De Nenne praised the legislative support, saying the final approval brings stability to cooperative members and helps sustain local production. The law also maintains existing benefits intended to foster the cooperative’s productive activity.
