Santa Fe matches annual organ donation record in ten months

The province of Santa Fe, Argentina, has reached a significant milestone in organ donation, matching its 2025 annual record with 98 donation processes completed in just ten months of 2026. A recent operation at the Hospital Venado Tuerto ‘Dr. Alejandro Gutiérrez’, conducted in coordination with the Centro Único de Donación, Ablación e Implante de Órganos (Cudaio), successfully recovered a liver, kidneys, and tissues, which will facilitate at least three transplants.

In addition to the progress in Santa Fe, other regional medical activities include an operation at the Hospital Justo José de Urquiza in Concepción del Uruguay, which enabled four patients to receive renal and cornea transplants. Meanwhile, in Jujuy, the Ministry of Health reported 71 successful donation procedures so far in 2026, emphasizing the importance of public awareness in supporting transplant lists.
