Santa Fe officials finalize Plaza Italia renovation project

Authorities in Santa Fe have approved the final architectural design for the transformation of Plaza Italia. The project, titled ‘Sombra y Agua’ and designed by architects Germán Müller and Martín González, aims to convert the current parking lot located in front of the Legislature into a public space dedicated to recreation, culture, and community gathering.

The final design incorporates adjustments to urban furniture and landscaping based on feedback from local residents, the Barrio Sur neighborhood association, and representatives of the Italian community. Following the recent meeting between municipal and provincial leaders, technical teams are now preparing the bidding documents required to initiate the construction process.

Funding for the initiative has been formalized through a commitment from Governor Maximiliano Pullaro. The project is a collaborative effort between the Municipality of Santa Fe and the provincial government to recover the urban space for families and youth.
