Santa Fe Province Police Seize Cocaine in Raids and Detain Pediatrician for Abuse

The Santa Fe provincial police, including the Policía de Investigaciones (PDI) and tactical units, carried out five raids in Santa Fe and Santo Tomé as part of a micro‑trafficking investigation ordered by Judge José Luis García Troiano. Four people – two men and two women – were arrested and charged with drug possession for commercial purposes. Authorities confiscated 425 cocaine packets, 140 additional cocaine wrappers, 46 marijuana wrappers, a precision digital scale with cocaine traces, cash totaling $438,900 and other equipment.

In a separate operation, the same PDI department detained a 40‑year‑old pediatrician, identified by the initials E. A., on accusations of simple sexual abuse. The investigation follows a complaint by a 26‑year‑old woman who alleges non‑consensual touching during a medical exam in July. The doctor was arrested at a residence in the northern part of the provincial capital after a warrant issued by prosecutor Vivian Galeano. The case is being pursued by the PDI’s Gender, Sexual and Family Violence Investigation Unit.
