Santa Fe to auction seized criminal assets in October

The Government of Santa Fe has finalized the selection of auctioneers for an upcoming public auction of assets seized from criminal organizations. Organized by the Provincial Agency for the Registration, Administration, and Destination of Assets and Patrimonial Rights (Aprad), the event is scheduled for the second half of October in the city of Santa Fe.

During a recent draw, 20 primary auctioneers—split equally between Santa Fe and Rosario—along with 10 alternates were selected to participate. The initiative aims to weaken the financial structures of criminal groups by liquidating seized vehicles, motorcycles, boats, and properties.

Matías Figueroa Escauriza, Secretary of Registry Management, stated that the process is designed to “weaken the pocket and economy of crime” by removing the financial resources necessary for criminal structures to operate within the territory.
