Santa Luce unauthorized rave draws 2,000 people to wooded area

An unauthorized rave party drew approximately 2,000 people to a wooded area near a wind farm in Poggio al Pruno, within the municipality of Santa Luce. The gathering was reported by local residents following loud music during the night of October 17-18.

The scale of the event required a coordinated response involving law enforcement, firefighters, municipal workers, and emergency volunteers to manage the crowd and control access to the area. Mayor Giamila Carli and local forestry workers were involved in monitoring the situation to ensure safe dispersal from the unprepared woodland site.

In response to the incident, Mario Palmieri of the political group Futuro Nazionale has called for increased preventive measures and stricter controls. He emphasized the need to investigate the organization of the event, verify legal responsibilities, and assess environmental and safety risks, such as evacuation routes and site security, to prevent similar occurrences in isolated areas.
