Santa Luzia car collision leaves three people injured

A side-impact collision involving two passenger vehicles resulted in three injuries on the MG-010 highway in Santa Luzia, Minas Gerais, on Sunday afternoon. The accident occurred near the São Benedito neighborhood in the direction of Vespasiano.

According to reports from the drivers, both vehicles were traveling in the same direction when they collided. The impact caused both drivers to lose control; one vehicle struck the central median's protective railing, while the other climbed an embankment and rolled over.

Emergency responders from the Vespasiano Fire Department arrived to find all five occupants already outside the vehicles. The injured include a 41-year-old woman with a knee injury and a father and his six-year-old child who reported bodily pain. All three victims received preliminary medical care at the scene before being transported to Hospital Risoleta Neves in Belo Horizonte. The Military Police of Minas Gerais managed traffic during the rescue operation.
