Santa Luzia increases security at Guardianship Council

The Santa Luzia administration has announced new security measures for the District Guardianship Council following an assault on a 56-year-old counselor. The incident occurred on September 28, when a parent allegedly attacked and threatened a counselor during a service session.

To prevent future occurrences, a Municipal Civil Guard agent will be stationed at the unit from Monday to Friday, between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, starting October 1, 2026. Additionally, the building will serve as a support point for municipal guards conducting bicycle patrols in the neighborhood.

For high-risk cases involving families with a history of violence, the Municipal Guard will be notified in advance to accompany in-person services. Emergency situations involving threats or disturbances will be prioritized through a direct channel with the regional command and the 153 emergency center.
