Regional infrastructure projects revitalize cultural and sports facilities

Various regional projects are revitalizing public infrastructure through cultural and sporting initiatives. In Toledo, Spain, the Santa María de Benquerencia Velodrome has reopened for skating and cycling after being abandoned since the 1980s. Additionally, Mayor Carlos Velázquez announced the creation of the ‘Toletum Visigodo’ Interpretation Center at the Vega Baja archaeological site, a €500,000 project utilizing virtual reality to showcase Visigothic history.

In Granada, Spain, the Fundación Unicaja has inaugurated a new cultural center in the Rey Soler building. Following a €3 million investment, the facility features exhibition halls, a multipurpose hall, and workshop spaces to strengthen the city’s cultural standing.

In Ciudad Victoria, Mexico, the former Cine Avenida is being transformed into a Digital Culture and Emerging Art Forum. The first stage of this renovation involves an investment of over 41 million pesos, creating spaces for audiovisual production, a 94-capacity auditorium, multimedia rooms, and digital tool training for the community.
