Santa María del Río Fair Pony Kicking Video Sparks Outrage

A video circulating on social media shows a young woman kicking a pony in the head during the Feria Regional del Rebozo in Santa María del Río, San Luis Potosí, Mexico. The pony was tied to a carousel‑type attraction when the woman approached, delivered a kick to its head and fled laughing while accompanied by others.

The clip prompted widespread condemnation online, with animal‑rights groups demanding an investigation and accountability. Municipal authorities have not yet issued an official statement, but users continue to call for the responsible party to be identified and for a review of the use of animals in such fair attractions.
