Santa María Technical Education Center opens in Catamarca, Argentina

The government of Catamarca inaugurated a new Polo de Educación Técnica Profesional in Santa María on Friday. The modern facility, covering more than 2,200 m², adds to the recently opened center in Tinogasta and aims to improve vocational training for youth and adults in the province’s western region.

The ceremony was led by Santa María mayor Erica Inga, with officials from the Ministry of Education and Labour in attendance. Governor Raúl Jalil could not attend because of an orange weather alert but sent a congratulatory message. Company MARA donated four 86‑inch interactive screens for classroom use. The building includes 14 fully equipped laboratory classrooms, a general workshop, a multipurpose hall, a kitchen‑buffet, staff rooms, a first‑aid area and administrative offices, all fitted with modern technology and safety infrastructure.
