Santa Maria Capua Vetere residents report fake delivery riders used for drug trafficking

Residents and activists in Santa Maria Capua Vetere have raised alarms regarding a suspected new drug trafficking method involving fake food delivery riders. Reports indicate that individuals posing as delivery personnel are operating in the areas of Piazza Mazzini and near the Duomo.

Witnesses have observed suspicious behavior, including riders using thermal bags to conceal illicit substances. In one reported incident, a rider used fast-food-style packaging to complete a transaction before fleeing the scene. Local activist Salvatore Pasquariello and members of the Movimento 5 Stelle have called for increased police presence and stricter controls to address these security concerns and restore order to the neighborhood.
