Santa Maria de Jetibá opens national egg market via SISBI

Santa Maria de Jetibá has joined the Brazilian System of Inspection of Products of Animal Origin (SISBI-POA), allowing local egg producers to access the national market. Following a federal ordinance, the municipality's inspection service is now considered equivalent to the federal system.

As the largest egg producer in Brazil, Santa Maria de Jetibá accounts for approximately 90% of Espírito Santo's production, with an estimated daily volume of 13 million eggs. The transition aims to integrate small, medium, and large agro-industries into national retail networks by meeting specific sanitary and self-control requirements.
