Santa Marinella attack on 70‑year‑old woman condemned by mayor

On the night of 23 June 2026 in Santa Marinella, a 70‑year‑old woman was surrounded and kicked by a group of youths near Largo Monsignor Ostilio Ricci. Witnesses reported the attackers shouting “Heil Hitler” and using hateful insults while the victim was restrained with scooters.

Mayor Alessio Manuelli condemned the incident as “unacceptable and deeply disturbing”, pledged to boost police patrols in the town’s central areas during evenings, and called on families to teach respect and legality to their children.
