Santa Marinella faces scrutiny over public works and building decay

Local administration and infrastructure issues are facing scrutiny in Santa Marinella. The current Manuelli administration has commissioned an expert assessment regarding safety works on the Ponton del Castrato ditch, a significant hydrogeological site. This decision has drawn criticism from former mayor Tidei, who characterized the move as “paradoxical” and defended the previous administration's efforts.

Separately, the Casina Trincia, a historic municipal building on Via Aureli, has been flagged for severe degradation. Stefano Marino, representing the IoAmoSantaMarinella civic list, reported that the structure is in a state of total neglect, with falling debris and unsecured access posing risks to public safety. Marino also noted the poor condition of the Italian and European flags displayed on the building, describing the situation as an affront to official symbols.
