Santa Panagia Clan members' appeals rejected by Italian Supreme Court

The Italian Court of Cassation has declared the appeals of nine defendants convicted in connection with the Santa Panagia Clan inadmissible. The individuals were sentenced for various drug law violations, including charges of association aimed at drug trafficking.

According to investigators, the group utilized pushers working night shifts to ensure customers could purchase narcotics at any time of day. The group's logistical and operational base was identified within the residence of one of the primary suspects.

The ruling follows a September 2025 decision by the Catania Court of Appeal. While some defendants had previously reached plea agreements under article 599-bis of the code of criminal procedure to redefine their sentences, the Supreme Court has rejected their subsequent appeals.
