Santa Rosa athletics facilities receive LED lighting upgrade

The Don Tomás Recreational Park athletics track in Santa Rosa has inaugurated a new LED lighting system. The project, funded by a provincial investment of approximately $29.2 million from the Government of La Pampa, replaces an aging electrical installation that had reached the end of its useful life.

The upgrade includes new luminaires, electrical panels, and enhanced safety measures. This intervention is part of the third stage of the Efficient Lighting Plan in Sports Spaces, a joint initiative by the Subsecretariat of Renewable Energies and the Subsecretariat of Sports. The new system is intended to improve visibility for athletes and coaches, particularly during speed and jumping events, while extending training and competition hours.

Separately, the municipality of Santa Rosa has announced the schedule for the Pre A Pampa Traviesa circuit. These preparatory races will take place on January 10, January 31, February 21, and March 14, serving as training milestones for the 42nd edition of the A Pampa Traviesa International marathon, which is scheduled for April 11, 2027.
