Santa Rosa de La Palmera celebrates patron saint festivities

The community of Santa Rosa de La Palmera in San Carlos will celebrate its patron saint festivities in honor of Santa Rosa de Lima from August 28 to 30.

The event features traditional Costa Rican dishes such as mondongo soup, stew, picadillo, and tamales. Scheduled activities include a children's pageant, sports, live music, marimba performances, a dance night, and a family walk. Other highlights include a patronal mass, a livestock auction, and a bingo game.

Funds raised during the festivities will be used to improve the physical structure of the local Catholic temple.
