Santa Rosa Esporte Clube denounces unauthorized use of brand by betting platforms

Santa Rosa Esporte Clube has issued an official statement criticizing the current state of sports betting companies in Brazilian football. The club denounced the unauthorized use of its name, crest, and image rights by betting platforms, noting that it has never received sponsorship from the sector.

The club stated that betting platforms routinely use the identities of Santa Rosa and dozens of other teams, particularly those in lower divisions, within their game portfolios without formal authorization or financial compensation. Santa Rosa expressed disagreement with the slogan ‘end of football’ recently promoted by sectors linked to the betting market.

To address these inequalities, the club pointed to the collective sponsorship model used by the Federação Paulista de Futebol (FPF) for teams in the A2, A3, and A4 series of the Campeonato Paulista as a potential alternative for institutional protection and funding. Santa Rosa maintains it will continue to demand respect for intellectual property and the rights of smaller clubs that form the foundation of Brazilian football.
