Santa Rosa Hospital in Viterbo hosts open day on painless childbirth for over 30 expectant mothers
More than thirty pregnant women and their families attended an open‑day event on the first Saturday of the month at the obstetrics and gynaecology unit of Ospedale Santa Rosa in Viterbo. The gathering, organized by the local health authority (ASL Viterbo), offered information on labour, delivery and epidural analgesia, and allowed participants to meet a multidisciplinary team of gynaecologists, anaesthetists and midwives.
Hospital director Giorgio Nicolanti highlighted that pain during birth need not be inevitable and presented epidural analgesia as a safe option that centres on mother and newborn wellbeing.
