Santa Scolastica Archaeological Museum in Bari to complete restoration by 2026

Restoration and adaptation works for the Santa Scolastica Archaeological Museum in Bari are scheduled for completion by December 2026. The project aims to integrate the museum into a single system with the adjacent San Pietro Archaeological Park.

The expansion includes three new exhibition halls on the second floor dedicated to numismatic and glyptic collections, the Roman era, medieval treasures, and historical trade in Puglia. Additional features include a teaching classroom, a lapidarium, a cafeteria, and the recovery of courtyards with external walkways. The San Pietro Park will also feature an artistic installation by Edoardo Tresoldi to reconstruct the volumes of ancient churches.
