Sant’Agata di Puglia completes energy efficiency upgrades for sports facilities

The municipality of Sant’Agata di Puglia has completed energy efficiency upgrades for its municipal swimming pool and sports hall. The project was fully funded by a 446,446 euro grant from the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security (MASE) under the ‘Municipalities for Sustainability and Energy Efficiency’ program, resulting in no cost to the local municipal budget.

The funding was divided between the two facilities, with 262,178 euros allocated to the swimming pool and 184,268 euros to the sports hall. At the swimming pool, old heat generators were replaced with a modern hybrid system consisting of a heat pump and a high-efficiency condensing boiler. These devices are managed by an intelligent regulation system designed to optimize energy use and reduce management costs.
