Santalucía renews Technology Advisory Council with Alberto Granados as chair

Santalucía has renewed the composition of its Technology and Innovation Advisory Council following its first three years of activity. The council, which serves as a consultative body to support the Board of Directors on technological transformation and innovation, will now be chaired by Alberto Granados.

Granados, who served as president of Microsoft Spain between 2021 and 2024 and currently holds a leadership role at Microsoft EMEA, brings over 30 years of experience in the technology industry. The insurer noted that his expertise in artificial intelligence, strategic innovation, and sustainability will be highly valuable during this new cycle, which is characterized by the acceleration of AI, digitalization, and cybersecurity challenges.

New independent external members joining the council include Idoia Maguregui, who has experience in the financial sector with organizations such as Bankinter and Sareb, and Fernando García Varela, a veteran with over 40 years of experience in technology and leadership. Other members continuing on the council include Rubén Muñoz Fernández, Sergio Bernabé Villalobos, and Carlos Fernández Ibáñez.
