Santander Film Festival honors Dolores Fonzi and Gemma Blasco

The tenth edition of the Santander Film Festival featured several high-profile presentations and awards. Actor Asier Etxeandia participated in a special screening of the documentary ‘Etxeandia Mastodophoniko’, where he expressed a stark view on artificial intelligence, stating, “It is the end of our civilization.”

During the awards ceremony, the festival presented two major honors. Argentine filmmaker Dolores Fonzi received the Faro Dos Orillas award. In her acceptance speech, Fonzi highlighted the importance of protecting cinema, noting that “in Argentina, culture is attacked and intended to be destroyed.”

Gemma Blasco was awarded the Faro Talento Joven. The festival's co-president, Álvaro Longoria, emphasized that these awards represent the core identity of the event.
