Santander Film Festival opens 10th edition with Rodrigo Sorogoyen

The tenth edition of the Santander Film Festival (FCS) officially opens this Friday, organized by Morena Films and Centro Botín. The inaugural program features director Rodrigo Sorogoyen, who will participate in the ‘Diálogos entre cineastas’ session alongside critic Marta Medina.

Sorogoyen will also present the film ‘El ser querido’ at Cines Embajadores, followed by a public colloquium. The film, which features Javier Bardem and Victoria Luengo, has been preselected as one of Spain's potential entries for the 2027 Oscars.

The festival's official opening ceremony will take place at Centro Botín at 21:00, attended by various regional and local authorities. Following the ceremony, the festival will premiere the romantic comedy ‘Citas’, directed by Gemma Ferraté and created by Pau Freixas.
