Santander Bank Secures Naming Rights for Chile's Former Movistar Arena
Banco Santander has reached a strategic agreement to become the principal sponsor of the indoor arena in Santiago previously known as Movistar Arena. From September 2026 the venue will be renamed Santander Arena, with the official brand launch scheduled for the first week of September. The partnership, announced by Andrés Trautmann, General Manager and Country Head of Santander Chile, is described as an effort to enhance the experience of attendees while preserving the arena's existing concert, sports and entertainment programming.
The arena, operated by Sociedad Concesionaria Arena Bicentenario S.A., attracted more than 1.8 million visitors to over 130 events in the last year and reported revenue of nearly 13.4 billion Chilean pesos. The current concession for the venue has been extended through March 2028, ensuring continuity of operations under the new name.
