Sant’Anna Hospital in Turin receives European excellence awards

Sant’Anna Hospital in Turin has received four international accreditations in gynecological oncology, placing it among fewer than ten medical facilities in Europe with similar recognitions for care, research, and specialist training.

The certifications include accreditation from the European Society of Gynaecological Oncology (ESGO) for gynecological oncology training, as well as specific certifications for surgical interventions regarding endometrial cancer and advanced-stage ovarian cancer. Additionally, the European Reference Network ERN EURACAN has designated the hospital as an expert center for rare ovarian tumors and gestational trophoblastic disease.

These recognitions are based on clinical experience, treatment outcomes, service organization, and multidisciplinary collaboration. The hospital’s model integrates advanced diagnostics, surgery, and radiotherapy with fertility preservation, psychological support, and assistance for women managing pregnancy during or after oncological treatment. The facility also utilizes the Research and Educational Center (REC) for clinical and surgical simulation to train future specialists.
