Santarcangelo to inaugurate new Sant’Ermete bicycle path
The municipality of Santarcangelo will inaugurate a new 1.6-kilometer pedestrian and bicycle path in Sant’Ermete on Saturday, October 24. The project, representing a 2.1 million euro investment, connects Case Gnoli, Casale, and Il Fondo to existing protected routes along via Marecchiese.
Mayor Filippo Sacchetti stated that the path is a significant segment of the city’s “Bicipolitana” line 3, supporting the “15-minute city” urban planning model by improving safe connections between residents and local services.
The inauguration follows other recent local improvements, including public parking renovations and monument restoration. Additionally, approximately 7.5 million euros have been allocated by the Romagna Reclamation Consortium and post-flood commissarial structures for hydrogeological safety works following the 2023 floods.
