The Sant’Elia Institute of Cantù has won the 2026 edition of the Alpha League, a national 11-a-side football tournament for Italian high schools. Representing the colors of Como 1907, the students defeated Torino’s Galileo Ferraris High School in the final.

The award ceremony at Palazzo Lombardia was attended by Federica Picchi, Undersecretary for Sport and Youth in the Lombardy Region, alongside Lega Calcio President Ezio Simonelli and Inter Milan President Giuseppe Marotta. Picchi described the tournament as a vital educational and sporting project that bridges the gap between formal education and professional Serie A football.

Promoted by Lega Serie A in collaboration with the Centro Sportivo Italiano (CSI), the Alpha League is preparing for its second edition in 2027.
