Santiago Castaneda extends contract with SC Paderborn

Santiago Castaneda has signed a contract extension with SC Paderborn. The 21-year-old American midfielder, who joined the club from MSV Duisburg in the summer of 2024, is currently considered the club's most valuable player.

Sebastian Lange, SC Paderborn's Managing Director of Sport, praised Castaneda's development into a key player, noting his strength in duels and his significant role in the club's recent promotion to the Bundesliga. Castaneda's market value has risen from 400,000 euros to approximately five million euros during his tenure with the club.
