Santiago commemorates 305 years of history and tradition

The municipality of Los Cabos, through the Institute of Culture and Arts, is organizing a series of events to commemorate the 305th anniversary of the founding of the Santiago Apóstol Mission. Under the theme ‘Fiesta del Intercambio y la Memoria’, the cultural program is scheduled for Monday, August 24, at the Santiago Delegation Culture House.

Activities include flag honors, a presentation of the book ‘La memoria castigada, los libros de bautismo de la iglesia de Santiago’ by writer Gustavo de la Peña Avilés, and an exhibition of pottery workshop sculptures. Additionally, a lecture regarding the mission's foundation will be delivered by Sealtiel Enciso Pérez. The event aims to preserve and disseminate the history, traditions, and identity of the Santiago community.
